A Poem by Drea
"

An ode to my second son when he was but a bundle in my hands on his first Celebration of Saint Valentine's Day.

"

Oh! My littlest boy;
Growing up so fast.
If I could slow times passing;
Make these moments last.
Hold you in morning soft sunrise;

Close; so close to me.

Kiss petal peach cheek;
Oh; such sweet moments.
Only to become sweet memory.
Everything brand new to you;
So exciting!
Such a joy!
All the world to see and learn;
Through the eyes of my little boy.
Alas; I can not stop tick tocking
And my baby boy will grow.
The things you will see~
The things you will do~
The things~

You will come to know.
Revealed the textured path of lessons
Sewn into lifes tapestry.
Stitched with rain; or honeyed with sun
It is a most beautiful work to me.
For I love you so my littlest one!
Deeply, completely,
I love you my son.

I love the unconditional love you express here.

Oh such sweet moments
Only to become sweet memory

This makes me get chills because time goes so fast. To hold onto the sweet memories that will last a lifetime is important. Because tomorrow will be gone and those memories live on. Every day is a memory worth making.

Another great poem to one of the love's of your life. I thoroughly enjoyed this.

Such a tender poem. Having kids of my own, I can really relate to this. They grow up so fast. Mine are 12 and 16 now, and it seems like just yesterday they were toddling around on their chunky little legs. I especially liked these lines:

Revealed the textured path of lessons
Sewn into lifes tapestry
Stitched with rain or honeyed with sun
It is most beautiful work to me
For I love you so my littlest one
Deeply, completely
I love you my son

What a great ending.

Oh... this so reminds me of our son when he was little (and our two girls, also). Now I am a grandmother and knowing that time will pass all too quickly with our little one. Lovely poem.

A parent's love for their offspring is a wondrous thing, indeed. You have done a very good job of capturing some of the finer moments. Is this an advertisment for Kodak? Lol. Very tender and endearing.

Well penned.
