A Poem by Drea
"

An ode to my eldest on his first Valentines Day

"

An explosion of giggles fills my ear;
Such a joyous sound for me to hear.
Celebration growing~
Sparkling; in your blue eyes.
Fanning out as rays of starlight;
On lush lashes that mesmerize.
A rogue impish smile;
Your bowed lips upturned spread.
Who knows ~

What thoughts ~
Dance inside your head?
A whirling dervish with a Cheshire cat grin.
The world at your fingertips
To explore at your whim.
Wild little boy be careful where you go.
Maverick testing limits
Mimsy to and fro.
Take a moment to plant feet still and stand.
LOOK~

Upon the heart within your hand.
Realize my son~

With the passing of time.
That this heart given freely~
This heart is mine.
In your travels;
Through any and all weather;
Be we apart or be we together;
No matter what you say or what you do;
Know my love is strong.
Know my love is true.

So beautiful. I like how you talk about your son's personality, his unique appearance and then you give him motherly wisdom. This poem is a treasure any son would cherish. I know my two boys deserve such a write. Your poetry is packed full of wisdom and I admire your writing!

Oh this brings back memories of our children when they were little. Such fun. I almost saw a cupid's bow in there... Time flys all too fast. Then they are 30 with their own little darling, and the cycle starts again.
Lovely read. I can still hear the giggles in my mind.

This is my youngest. She is so filled with light that I watch with amazement. She shines. I loved this.
