you know lost me

you know you lost me

i can tell.
you hug me a little tighter now,
you call me ‘baby’ more,
you kiss me longer
you can tell you lost me

physically i’m still yours
but mentally?
i need someone who will love me every night,
call me when they miss me,
quit ditching me for their friends
mentally you lost me

you know you lost me
your eyes start to water when i go home
you constantly tell me you love me
maybe the problem isn’t you losing me
maybe the problem is that
i lost myself when you lost me
