embrace me in the bathtub.

embrace me in the bathtub.

A Poem by Lucinda Crabtree

There's someones fingerprints on the window,

She drew a smiley face and wrote her name in the water,

Lets tiptoe round the kitchen table whilst Mummy makes pancakes,

Why can't I see a fancy present in the box thats shrouded in the living room,

Everybody just follow me and I will try to ease your broken heart.

Brushing, trimming, dying she has her hair done every week,

she comes and eats her fish and chips the newspaper is so greasy,

We tell her we say "cheer up Lady Jane" your hair is a rich colour,

Give us a number for a tanning lotion,

And we will see what we can do.

There's a girl she stands for her picture to be taken and she knows its for a reaction,

But there's poetry in the picture and their mouths are  agape with  astonishment,

Has she got a boyfriend?

What is his name?

Does it have anything to do with me?

She says "I don't know him as well as I used to."
