Torture Soul

Torture Soul

A Poem by Lauren Perry

"
Memories fade.
The feelings remain.
Holding on to the hands of a ghost.
The chill of spirits left behind.
A tortured soul,
crying out for an escape.
The voices in his head,
laughing, taunting, menacing.
Forever in search of something else.
Any place is better than this one.
He wanted the calm,
yearned for peace.
Nothing could stop his ways,
each mistake led to the next.
His spirit lives on,
the feelings are there.
Never forget the first,
always cherish the moments of the damaged boy,
with a heart of gold.

A haunting tale Lauren.
"The chill of spirits left behind.
A tortured soul,
crying out for an escape."
The above lines were my favorite. The good description made me wish to know more. I liked the ending and thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

beautifully written. You've captured the the sense of a haunted, trapped soul wonderfully
