Free At Last

Free At Last

A Poem by .:Lu:.

You've left the house
With me, all alone
But for once,
I don't mind being abandoned

Because now, I can think out loud
Maybe even be myself
Damn right, I can yell
Because now, I'm free at last

You'll come home, and I'll hide myself
I'll turn down the volume, close the browser
So that I can hide my life away
But only for awhile

A few days later, you'll leave me alone again
And then I'll be free again
And I'll rip the mask off
And laugh, away from the dark
