how much i love you

how much i love you

A Poem by Leen Albert

You're the first thing I think of
Each morning when I rise.
You're the last thing I think of
Each night when I close my eyes.

You're in each thought I have
And every breath I take.
My feelings are growing stronger
With every move I make.

I'm addicted to you i don't know what to do
Its like every time you need a cig i need you
Its like every time the stars shine
I wanna hold you close and call you mine

Its like every time the sun rises
I wanna be looking in your eyes
I'm so addicted every time i breathe
I want you here here with me

Its like every time the clock ticks
If you aren't with me i become love sick
Its like every time day turns to night
I go crazy if you aren't in sight

I'm so addicted every time the wind blows
I thank god i am the one you chose
Its like every time my heart beats
I want you here so our eyes can meet

But even though you got me addicted i know its true
Cause everything that happens reminds me how much i love you.

Lovely sentiments and good imagery.

NOTES: I think you need to make another pass over this one. You're meter runs a bit awkward in places. And, you rhyme is inconsistent. For example, in the first stanza, you rhyme every other line of the couplets (though rhyming "think of" with itself isn't really rhyme); in the second stanza, you rhyme line to line within the couplets.
