Blood

Blood

A Poem by Lestat's daughter

Nectar of all life on earth,

Food for those who crave it.

That which gives us life can easily be taken away.

Life is so precious, why toy with it?

Some lives are shrowded in darkness,

Others are bathed in light.

Those souls that are hidden by shadows know how to lure others in.

You all ready may be lost to them

To those who's lives still remain in the light,

Remain strong against the darkness.

Once they have you there's no letting go.

You'll end up one of them.

Some don't mind the darkness.

Sucking the lives and souls from others.

Some people wanted it.

I do.

A very "deep" piece...the darkness and the mystery is both enchanting and powerful. Great word choice...brings home your topic quite nicely. The only thing I would suggest is a little edit in terms of punctuation--I saw a few places where periods where used and I think comma's would be better (or no punctuation at all), because the flow gets broken up a little bit. Other than that, this was a nicely written piece and an enjoyable read.

I love this. Especially the very end. "I do"... powerful.

Very nice, but there are a few spellin errors I noticed. Just a few words here and there. Love the implication of vampires in it. Very chilly.
