Too Little, Too Late/ Too Much Too SoonA Poem by Indra's Child
We see each other
Deep, Deep,
Down. His eyes are like dark wells, full Of all the pain, and suffering, and love within His grin can be so so genuine Reflecting the agony of the world exterior But when he looks at me With those Deep, Deep, Eyes... He can see into mine. His smile... I swear, it can light up a room Like a nuclear explosion, A detonation deep within my heart A conversation held not in vain; He makes deep love to me with words alone Words that without his intellect, Have no meaning Intellect that without his sentiment, Show no feeling Every page I turn, I can smell his incense, Rich, aromatic, Captivating me more and more. I can see beauty. Everywhere And I'm grateful to see the beauty in him. Sometimes, it's torment I cannot kiss Every Last Inch ..of his velvety, beautiful skin His lips to his toes, And everything in-between... I have moments I think we both do When it seems that we don't have much to lose Just One Kiss.... Then the Cigarette burns low Eyes drop away from their gaze Phrase, "Goodnight," is used too quickly My heart Flutters and dips Just a little Before my mind tells me not to go chasing butterflies... © 2020 Indra's ChildReviews
