How It Was

How It Was

A Poem by Madeline Man

You used to dance in circles,

You said you needed to please the sun

Now you're turning purple,

All the alchohol running through your blood

---------------------------------------------------------------

And no matter how hard you run,

You can't out run the night.

And now it's begun,

You can't out chance the sky

So take a deep breath,

Try to start over again

------------------------------------------------------------------------

You used to sing in riddles,

You said open your eyes, it begins with the sight

Now your eyes are useless,

You don't look through them anyways

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

And no matter how hard you run,

You can't out run the night.

And now it's begun,

You can't out chance the sky

So take a deep breath,

Try to start over again

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Try to start over again....

You said open your eyes, it begins with the sight, Now your eyes are useless, You don't look through them anyways" it was really good. :)
