Silk

Silk

A Poem by Alisha Heistand

How tantalizing a kiss can be
Mesmerizing
Rushed
Slowed
But silk is something different all together

It's warmth
Its cold

"There's warmth in ice, there's cooling peace in fire"

It is night
It is day

"And midnight light to show us all the way"

Silk is sometimes almost too soft
A butterflies wings beat like a heart
Soft but always moving

Silk is also this way

Don't be afraid

Let's get lost

As your kiss

Is like silk
