drop in the ocean

drop in the ocean

A Poem by manisha
"

Personification of drop Descibes sometimes darkness is good to see someone's beauty.

"
I fell from the sky
A drop in the ocean
With a low drippy sound
A mute cold music was found
Now i was in the lap of ocean
Sea embraced me as her daughter
My nervousness was gone
I started to flow in motion
In that very limitless ocean
From one end to another end
And to deep down her heart
But.. it was darken black
I was in deep depth
I only hoped i wasn't trapped
It scared me to death
But.. after a while i saw
Some light
It was the pearl of night
Very beautiful and bright
Sea shined like a bride
Now i understand
Sometimes something needs
To be seen without light.

Very nice! There are many facets to this poem. I perceived it as stressing the importance of immersing yourself in the essence of something to get the full experience. I also felt it could have a deep, dark tone to it as if it were describing the effects of drowning. Either way, beautiful poem!

You are welcome Manisha.
Wow. I loved the imagery in this piece and the way it lead into the last line. I got chills after I read the lines "sometimes something needs/to be seen without light." Well done.

I love this poem. I so saw this little drop. I became this drop through your writing. I felt relaxed through the part until I was in the deepness of the dark ocean. I did feel the weight of that darkness pressing on me. Then I felt such wonderful relief in the last few lines. I think the lines, "Sometimes something needs...To be seen without light..." ring so true.

Well done.
