more than just me more than just a daisy aloneA Poem by marilyn 1225hard to compare a lifetime of love, depression, loss, happiness to one flowermy heart is like the daisy I wore in my hair when I was married the daisy I picked as a girl the flower of simplicity and yellow ' and white beauty yet one by one its petals fall off to the ground or blown to the wind like human ashes we human flowers bloom we fade we die but the existence of a daisy will grow again as the new young flourish forever the heart bleeds mourns and burns so perhaps a more descriptive comparison might be a hurricane destruction rain violent wind and the after math where the new daisies grow Marilyn
