Just The Fool [Again.]

Just The Fool [Again.]

A Poem by Benjamin Seymour

You pass it off lightly

Just an aside in an anecdote

But it’s nothing like that to me

He who still had the audacity to hope

That one day it might happen

And we could be together

Hah.

Guess I’ve been played the fool again

Just like before

What a f*****g idiot I am

Just a stupid little kid

Who can’t see through an excuse he’s used himself

[Now I know how she felt]

I’ll never use that excuse again

And so I’ve wasted yet more of my life

In tilting at another windmill

Just another fruitless dream

Come false

Guess who’s the fool?

Guess who’s the fool?

Looks like I’m the fool. Again.

Oy, Nice job. Wow, this is the first review i've written in like a month lol, feel weird lol = )
Anyways, I like the way you Italasize some lines, the ones that aren't so bitter, since this whole poem has a bitter sort of feel to it. Personal experience maybe?

I really like those lines, not sure why, but they're just well written. Good job.
