I can find no trace

Of what was

And is supposed to be

Am I still alone?

Because it’s empty inside of me

Did you forget that to be lonely

Is to have once been in company?

Because you can’t miss

What you never had

So I’ll dwell on that

I’ll dwell on then

Can you tell me when my heart stopped?

When the love stopped raining down

Did you feel the sense of loss?

Am I alone or simply lost?

Whisper to me

So I know you’re there.

Talk to me, so I know you care.

How long have I been alone?

I can’t remember when it began

This path is old and overgrown

But I still tread on

Hoping I’m not lost.

Am I still alone?

Is my voice forgotten?

Amidst this empty place

How long have I been alone?

How long since this heart stopped

Beating inside of me?
