An Addiction to Heroine, Not the Drug

An Addiction to Heroine, Not the Drug

A Poem by Monica
"

A short short short poem. I was just inspired on my drive home.

"

What an imagination she has:
She thinks she's invincible.
Just because she's been thrown to the ground,
The love beat out of her,
Her pride stripped from her,
And because she continues to get back up,
She is super woman.

She has been tossed around,
Disposed of after one use,
Her rib cage thrashed until her heart breaks,
But she still keeps breathing like her her ribs aren't cracked,
And she tries to love as if her heart isn't broken.
Don't worry,
She's wonder woman.

She still believes she's indestructable,
She still believes she can fly,
Burst through walls with extreme force,
In an attempt to save her own life.
She thinks she has the ability to fix everything,
But the truth is,
She's broken beyond repair.

She is so shattered,
You couldn't find all of her pieces.
Completely dismantled.
This heroine needs a hero,
But she'd never let someone close enough to let them fix her.
Never let you touch her,
Because she believes you're her kryptonite.
