filthy sun

filthy sun

A Poem by Michael

you feel so lonely without hope
you carry pride like a disease
feeling torn at your midpoint
you have no where else to go
like a leach i hold close
to all that breaks me down
sucking out the breathe in me
my whole world is sure to drown
my eyes tell lies that cant be heard
im so filthy with my sin
there's no wrong i can out run
temptation always ends up giving in
you feel so desperate without vision
you hold the future with broken hands
feeling shattered on the inside
you have your heart wearing thin
distracted by all that consumes me
my fire has burned its run
this world does not need another light
the sun is bright enough

I love, love, love the last three lines. It creates a very powerful image. I really enjoyed reading this poem. It creates a very real dark atmosphere that I find quite interesting. Nicely done.
