I'm Not A Monster

I'm Not A Monster

A Poem by Save the Trees, Save the World
"

I live inside you. I love you. Why don't you love me?

"

Dear Mommy,

I’m not a monster

I just want you to love me

I know he hurt you

But please don’t take it out on me

I don’t want to go to sleep

I haven’t even woken up yet

“It’s not a baby yet”

“No one would miss it”

You tell yourself that every night

You sit and cry for hours

It’s all my fault

I don’t deserve to live

No, I don’t deserve you

I’m his child

Go to the doctor

Have me ripped out of you

It’s what I deserve

I’ll pay for the pain he caused you

Bye, bye mommy

I’m sorry it had to end this way

Love, Your Baby
