Alone No More

HA!!! IN YOUR FACE, KYLIE!!! This was a poem I wrote for my girlfriend and she really liked it and so did I. So here it is. Love you, babe. ^_^

I used to sit in an endless room

There was never anything in it

Just an endless void of black and silence

Always floating and falling in a hole or pit

 

My voice would echo for a thousand miles

But my voice has no sound to be heard

So I have no reason to speak my mind

Because there’s no one there to listen to a word

 

In a room of endless black and silence

Only your thoughts will make a sound

In time you will be tortured by it

Your quiet suffering will keep you bound

 

I used to believe this was the rest of my life

It’s not like I had much else to believe

Because this room of endless black and silence

Is not a very easy place to leave

 

But I am no longer there

Because a light was shined

A radiant beauty blinded me

But removed my state of mind

 

I emerged in a new world

Heaven was my first thought

It didn’t matter really

This wonderful place is what I got

 

Then an angel appeared

Smiling in all her wonder

I felt so alive

As my loneliness went asunder

 

She kissed my lips

And beyond the horizon we would soar

I whispered my love to my angel

And I was alone no more
