The dark flower blooms

In my hand

Above the raven flies

It's dark cape flowing

Blocking sun rays

As life goes on

The shadow grows

Until it consumes

Leaching love

Peace and joy

No matter how strong

No matter how long

Light finds its way

In hearts of young

Even with death

I like the contrast her of dark and light... in the beginning the darkness takes over... only to be overcome by the light... again...
