Sibelius' Seventh

Sibelius' Seventh

A Poem by Gerald Parker

The time has come

twilight and mist
home in
on his longship

prow pointed
towards the eye
of the sunset

a faint glimmer
through the smoke

his black cat
we placed at his feet

amber eyes loving him
she braces herself

loyalty he never had to demand
unflinching
as the flames close in

About
There's not much to tell. I read a lot of poetry and I read my own poetry regularly. I hope other people read it and derive as much pleasure out of it as I do. My output is small, about 110 poems as I.. more..
