lonelyness

lonelyness

A Poem by mary smith
"

loneliness everyone has felt it

"
feelings of loneliness rolls in
like clouds do when a storm is coming
like a rain of depression
making every part of my body pulse
this on going onslaught of depression eats at my heart
the loneliness of being separate from others
like i am here on this planet with  no one
there
or maybe invisible to this world i called home
stuck in this world to be ignored
not finding one that will  love this empty shell

ooo I like this one. It reminds me of those times I went through last year - they weren't so good and it is exactly what I felt like. The similies, the metaphor of the empty shell and the comparison of feelings and the weather are really effective.
I especially like the line "stuck in this world to be ignored", it relates so well to the times I have been through. Brilliant job!
