Post Hallows Eve

Post Hallows Eve

A Poem by MetoGenesis
"

All about the after effect of Hallows Eve.

"
With the spooks and ghouls come and gone
We are being launched into another holiday almost instantly
To big businesses, one is viewed as a pawn
Christmas is almost here and it approaches viciously

All too soon are we forced to trade the half dead for a merry man
Sweets can only help soothe the abrasion for so long
November just began
Although fond of holidays, this is just plain wrong

Is this not just a marketing ploy
Where most if not all participate for the sake of tradition
Christmas is just a decoy
Forcing families into crippling submission

But what can one do to avoid such a scam
Without being accused of being the next Scrooge?
The holiday itself is a sham
And the one who celebrates, merely a stooge
