Valley Beyond The Stars

I wanted a song that said "I love you", "Goodnight" and "Sweet dreams" all at once. This was the end result. Not sure if it's pretty but I hope you like this!!

Valley Beyond The Stars

 

Across glistening oceans far away

Towards darkness embracing the world

As daylight fades into the mist that shrouds my soul

 

Beyond distant clouds of gray

As a serenade begins slowly to unfold

Like the pages of our story never told

 

And under the silent brilliant stars

You know my heart is with you

As we look to the dark violet sky

Beyond the radiance of the moon

Shining far beyond the rivers of the tears we’ve cried

But they’ll take us to a garden of serenity and light

Beyond shining mountains high, and glaciers crimson and white

 

Close your eyes and soar with me

Beyond the distant realms of time

Into the heavens far beyond the stars

Beyond crystal blue skies and emerald seas

Embrace this moment till the end of time

As you’re lying here so deep in my arms

Like two roses blossoming in the moonlight

Never ever let this feeling go

We’re two lovers embracing in the candlelight

Across valleys far and peaks of snow

For these words are all I have to take your pain away

So take my hand and let’s fly away

 

Towards fading sunset over the sands

Across skies of crimson, vermilion and gold

Look to the valley far beyond the stars of destiny

 

Over blissful dreams and distant lands

Though this world may become so cold

You know you have my love and the best of me

 

Beyond forests shrouded in sorrow

Over seas and islands so far

Your smile’s a light I gotta follow

As I reach to where you are

Where clouds of magnolia white drift by for you and me

Where the sun shall shine as far as the eye can see

So close your eyes and set us free

Wow! That was really, really beautifully. Very romantic and picturesque. I loved the opening paragraph: "Across glistening oceans far away, Towards darkness embracing the world, As daylight fades into the mist that shrouds my soul" This, I find, is particularly enchanting. The way in which you can pull these words together to create such a wonderful scene is purely the work of someone who really does find joy in writing poetry. When you read to the very end, it's almost as if poetry IS your heart. It's just so fluent, rich, and vibrant. I really, really enjoyed this. Tremendous poetry telling.
