A Kiss Divine.

A Kiss Divine.

A Poem by shadrach hah

4 ….. A Kiss Divine.

I have walked through life,

I have seen many changes,

in memories rivers

I have drowned,

I have hunted the world,

a vision in mind re-arranges,

that vision of beauty,

my anguished life has found.

I remember the first time

that he did come to me,

I shivered in anticipation,

or was it fear, I felt?

He laid me on the bed,

I was as light as a feather,

and by the side of the bed

he did solemnly kneel.

I knew what he was,

yet still, I caressed him,

in my gentle heart,

I did beg him to come,

yes, there I lay,

in regal splendour, in dignity,

I did know then,

he would be my special one.

Then passion overflows,

gentle hands, caressing me,

lips meet and the flame burns,

your lips taste of love’s wine,

Now, desire is there, deep within,

a desire that is forever true,

the flames, flaming from our lips,

as we partake of the kiss divine.

At night, our love does in glory arise,

my beloved, you take me to paradise,

my love ever yours, your love ever mine,

May we ever partake of the kiss divine.

This feels as if written in a quite traditional "love story" way . . . and I'm sorry to say I'm not into traditional love story type poetry. After how effusive you have been about every single thing I write, I hate to say it, but I have to be honest. I go for a love affair with a bit more pizazz & something unexpected to knock my socks off. But this is the kind of traditional writing that gets the hearts thumping inside many more readers than anything I can ever write! (((HUGS)))

a very sensual write, and this reminds me of the version of Dracula with Frank Langella and Kate Nelligan...
such a different, more romantic version...
and this one shows such respect he has for her.
love it.

Oh! it's a series I didn't know, but truth after knowing that I appreciate it more and understand the piece I previously read more, I love this one, again your smooth rhythm is great BUT for this sentence "in regal splendour, in dignity" I give the crown! how come I NEVER composed that one? for me it's gorgeously outstanding, revealing the essence of a real woman.
