After the Solstice

After the Solstice

A Poem by Michael Oliver
"

a piece of work in progress -

"
Branches play the veil of focus
The ever blue is ever undecided
After punctuation is a part parted
A thrown definition in unwrapped flight
Look - a spread of flat expectancy
Not the echoed space of the past
Safe in a constant  of speculation
Yellow light equivocates from bricks - works
Sudden rainfall and startled thunder clap
Has no image or musing fancy
Sunshine elsewhere - against dark - deep blue
Promises from the seasoned rain drop
The future is in memory mirrored
Unproven but proved by its reflection
Birdsong has not aroused it - yet
In a swaddled certainty - it is

The solstice colors the moon bluish hue and that is where the term once in a blue moon comes from. Sometimes we just see the yellow of the moon when the moon has the sun blocked out. This is very well written and descriptive poem and you seem to know more about it than more so than most...Bravo.....................
