Nocturnal Bliss

Nocturnal Bliss

A Poem by BrokenWingedPhoenix

Simple sweet illusion, a cruelty of the mind.

Revolving like the ocean, yet solitude confined.

This twilight shall not greet me,

Misery lying within my bones.

Tossing and turning through the motions,

Eluding of the soul.

Destiny brought me here, bittersweet denial of the true.

Going through the motions, shadows guide my way.

Desiring only to hold you,

But never will you stay.

Decades spent in longing,

And centuries I will wait.

Longing for you to hold me,

Just one moment…can’t you stay?
