Timothy and Taylor

Timothy and Taylor

A Story by Naomi Muller
"

A story about friendship and loyalty!

"

'Come what may' the young girl replied,

to her dearest friend who stood by her side.

'When the rain is gone' she said with a smile,

'I will come, I will find you, with you I will spent my life.'

But for now their seperate ways they went

for their parents did not want them to get late into bed.

It was cold outside and very wet

in the gardens were they usually met.

Off with his mother little Taylor went;

Off, far off, away from his friend.

Wandering when he will see her again,

feeling somehow empty and lonely, the days he spent.

Taylor were sore and broken hearted,

cause for the first time in his life they were parted.

He lay in bed watching the stars,

Remembering the promise she made to him last.

That night Timothy got onto her knees,

whispered a prayer and asked off Jesus:

'Please let me see my dearest friend, please,

I will be good, I promise, please.'

And the rain kept comming, kept pouring down

filling the empty streets of the town

and each night Taylor were sore,

and each night Timothy sent her prayer to the Lord.

On the 7th morning when se awoke,

her head was hurting, her body felt old.

She was comming down with a tremendous cold

and no doctors were near to call.

She lay in bed the winter through,

covered in blankets, sick with the flu.

Remembering her only friend

was her last memory, before she went...

The very next day, the rain has gone;

Taylor jumped out of bed, 'Timothy comes, Timothy comes!'

With sparkling eyes he dashed to his mom;

'Take me to Timothy come, come, come!'

But his mothers' expression fell before his eyes.

She placed a gentle hand on his and looked up to the skies:

'Timothy will watch you forever my child,

for she remembers you, but last night she died.'

Taylor broke free from his mothers grip,

'Your lying, dont tell met that it cant be my friend!'

He ran out the house and fell on to the ground,

he wept bitterly for his friend, thats gone sound.

Timothy's mother came over that day

Taylor sat silently in the garden and prayed;

'Dear Lord, why did you take my Timothy away!

She has done no one pain.'

Three days later, it was her funeral.

Taylor was silent. Not a word was spoken,

He stood by her grave and silently whimpered

kneeling down he whispered, 'I will remember.'

For years went by, and Taylor never forgot,

for years her smile haunted his dreams and thoughts,

for years he prayed asking off God;

'Why is she not with me, why is she gone?'

And on one fine day he married a maiden,

fair and gentle as he remembered his friend.

They started their lives and love for many years gone by,

untill the fair lass gave him a child!

She grew up well, her spirits were high

and always when Taylor looked into her eyes;

He saw the face that haunted him at night

of his dearest Timothy that years ago died

When age became their enemies and their lives withered.

They sat by the kitchen warming their hands together.

Taylor looked over to his wife and thought:

'The road to my Timothy is not that long anymore...'

And that night his beloved wife died.

Cold in his arms, he wept like a child:

'Dear Lord, take me away!

I cannot live with the pain!'

He waited two more years,

lying in bed he listened to the silence

and prayed softly to the heavens:

'I am ready, take me to my loved ones!'

He closed his eyes and saw the face

of his dearest friend he lost on that day.

She held out her hand for him to take

and smiled: 'Come Taylor, in my world u are awake!'

Timothy tis you my sweet friend'

He whispered softly to her kneeling on bent,

He held out his arms and they embraced

for it has been too long ago they have been face to face.

So off they went to the land of the dead,

to whatever place for them that would be.

Whether heaven or earth, it does not matter in the end

for eternity anywhere is good enough for them.

***

Their young lives were shattered away

The beauty of friendship should be cherished each day

That even when a friend will die

After death you will relive your special times.

***

Friendship comes, but never leaves

Even if death manages to succeed

If in your world of mind you believe

That your friendship, forever will stay.

Even death cannot part

A true friends heart

To forget is never easy

Especially if you are young,

Try to rather remember

The good things that has been done!

And i promise you

You will always find some sanctuary

Within remembering...
