Fall Too Deep Too quickly

Fall Too Deep Too quickly

A Poem by *Evelen*

I stare at my cell phone.

Waiting to see it light up.

Waiting to hear it ring

But only for you.

I’ve warned myself

Not to get too attached,

Not to fall too quickly,

But heck it’s too late.

I’m already in love with you,

And there’s nothing I can do.

I can’t turn off this feeling.

For I know you,

And you’re perfect.

I can’t, not want to see you.

For my eyes have already

Gazed upon you and

My heart pounds so quick

When I met your gaze.

My face turns red,

And I look away.

Yet still wanting to see more.

O how rash I am being.

To let you in so quickly.

To let you have my heart

From the very start.
