Mellow Lunacy

Mellow Lunacy

A Poem by Michael McNally

Lost and adrift, encircling what remains
Trying to decide wether wise or insane
Unsure of neither the former nor latter
Focused on keeping mind over matter
But what does it matter, losing your mind
What magical answer were you hoping to find?
The truth in end will be bittersweet
For all things endured are bound to repeat
So In order to satisfy the lust and desire
For knowledge, truth and our inner most fire
There are two paths that you may choose
To lose what you fear or to fear what you lose.
