A Poem by mikl paul

03/07/13. sitting at Linnaeas staring at an abandoned pair of gloves.

-----

I see      and believe   the quaking

    beneath the skin is true.

      he wants the shape to

be      so present, accounted for,

the soul is so present,     and

he is intimidated by   every

   piece of clothing

shed,    imagining living beneath

her,    tiny rake in hand,

saving what is more than enough.

there is a mark on the

outer thigh and it reminds the moon of

him.     there are theirs   and    to    pull

   toward theirness           all things

    congregate toward    such

churning. (out the window now,

sudden sun.   striking a blue umbrella

still wet from rain,   light steam.)   and

they    and    tighten   as

                    though               hello.

light steam.           some sigh

      hidden to inspire

  the search,       some  worthiness

   of lifting sorrow  and

tasting.      an upon the raft of him,

his hand tangled in her hair, in case.

Too funny...I know Linnaeas (if you're talking about the restaurant), so I had to read this. The poem...again, well done. Bright, well wrought, and introspective. This one begs to be read again, and that is what I shall do.
