a flutter of wrist       and what is

a herald    and what is standing

free.      show me when I will arrive at

that place     where I always will be,    and

what would I remind you of

as openness      threading itself closed until.

remember the early zeal in the way you love

deciding quickly the weight of joy,   the

rich of ending; angels growing pale with what

you are saving for.                when we all included

     once,  within our time

with or without a quality        the vast

ownership insisting:         and when you caress me

what was-it-ever   you believed to be shaping

   grey by winged grey?

asking lanterns what our tongues are for.

allowing a trespass        to define the color of

   your eyes                   today.

all the whiles      staggering in light mass and

intent,    to nurture "faded soul beat- every wish

into gratitude and you (always so near,    the

fable intoxicating    and along my skin,

always so near,    bidding inward, an envied

prayer as you remove my strings.)    will

show me,    the sum of these waits,    in spit

palm struck and the slow pull outward.

For some reason this piece took me to baseball. I felt like that moment when a great pitcher is challenging a great hitter at a key moment. Words like "struck", "strings", "palm", "spit", "wrist", "wait" and more took me to that place where two supreme beings are challenging each other at their respective crafts.

there seems a giving up, a pausing, a redaction, all at once in the moving forward. all this work is momentum, gravid.

thank you for reading, always.
Another really strong piece that conjours emotions like wafts of smoke in the air; taking shape and then dissapating before I can completely comitt them to mind. I quite like this feeling, it's sort of out of body, and your writing does it to me. You have a definite way with phrasing, which I can really relate to, and I love your word choice. You are a deliberate poet, and I like that very much.

Okay...I'll use that moniker when I talk about your work, then..."elegants", I like that.
