You, my love

You, my love

A Poem by Neriah
"

...

"
With eyes that look but don't see,
With lips numbed by love
And hands that hold me
Only to kill me,
You kiss my eyes and tear my soul,
You, my love, you render me defenseless,
You shatter me to pieces,
Only to build me from scratch.

With words that pierce my heart,
With poisoned kisses
And bitter-sweet symphonies
Made for me to worship
You, my love, you drain my every bit of hope
Only to fill the void with better dreams of freedom.

You, my love, you split my soul apart
And you crawl, and you creep
Deep, deep inside me,
Only to become
The very essence of my being.

Author's Note

Neriah
It's the first poem I've written in months and I'm a little rusty, so be gentle.
