Solitude

Solitude

A Poem by Mira

The clouds of doubts hover over the sea

Ready to pour down anxiety.

The raven perches itself on the moor,

Ready to cry, “Nevermore.”

A sad little soul waited along the streets,

To buy a heart and pair of feet.

The subway was full of jangling men,

Clanking their elbows against each other’s pain.

Everybody wants to get home safe,

While walking faster towards their graves.
