A Rainy Day

A Rainy Day

A Poem by Mira

Muddy street, cloudy thoughts,

Little puddles at my feet.

I tilted my umbrella to let a few drops of hope

Fall on me.

There was sliver of silver lining,

Beyond the darkest moon,

That rose high up at midnight,

Beyond the mountain swoon.

It told me to rest up

And let the chains go,

And let life take it's course,

Slowly and gently.
