L'époque de l'air et le feu

L'époque de l'air et le feu

A Poem by mishka
"

A poem of an era unfolding.

"
It's beautiful,
looking at you.
I've said this in
my own mind.
Fingers run
over my skin,
the water beads,
and I am reminded
of you.

Can it be?
These things
I'm feeling.
Like the green
waters of Menorca;
Crystalline,
bottomless and
seemingly never ending
as far out as my
mind's eye can see.

The droplets pool,
falling down my arm
in the silence that is
my only soul.
I am fascinated by
the entity that
formulates your presence.
I am drawn into
the energy that
contains your
singular smile.
I am entertained
endlessly by
your natural humor.

I caution myself
to pause,
yet I am already
taken
by everything that is in you.
You've had me,
so many times
I think I've lost count.

I move in the waters,
rippling this
simple element,
and all I see is you.
Can it be?
I do not know.
I've never encountered
such an immovable
force.
I am in fear,
I am in awe.
I am in too deep,
heaven help me now.
