Stalker

Stalker

A Poem by Amy

I hear faint footsteps behind me,

Only to turn around and find nothing.

The pace quickens as I hear it draw closer,

I turn around,

...nothing.

I begin to run,

unaware of what’s behind me.

I feel my heart beat incredibly fast,

as my pulse increases through my body,

it rings in my ears.

I hear the leaves crunch underneath its feet,

what does it want from me?

I can almost smell its breath,

as it tries to catch its voice,

it is breathing heavily.

It is another human being, male?

He is so close, that I feel his cool air, trickle down my neck.

I turn around.

All goes black.

LOL WOW AMY! I know EXACTLY what this is about. Okay, I'll shut up.
But yeah, back to the poem, It was well written.
I liked how it was short, and it was an easy read. The words just flew off my tongue.
