Not Today

Not Today

A Poem by Amy

They try to pull me away.

I won’t let them.

Not today.

They force me to take my medication.

I don’t want to take it.

Not today.

They try to tell me that I’m going to get better.

But I don’t believe them.

Not today.

They move me to another room.

Where I know things are getting worse,

I already know there is no hope.

Not today.

They ask me what I want,

I tell them,

“My disease to go away”

But they can’t fix me.

Not today.

They ask me what I want,

"My disease to go away"
But they can't fix me.
Not today.

Not today.
this is sad ,very sad ,but dear let me tell you ,though you do not say a lot about it
but i tell you there is always hope
there is always another day
another sunshine,another starry night
we cannot live without hope
there is always hope and dreams of a better life better tomorrow
hope that things will change ,there will be smiles and laughs
you never know, life is strange..keep hoping ..keep dreaming
that was a sad writing but gave a lot to think about ,lovely write

Such a profoundly perfect piece, relating to the anxiety of illness so many face... Your words connect to the heart and the struggle of the mind in the midst of overwhelming pain.

Oh my..

This means so much. As a reader you can feel the annoyance and resentment. You obviously lost all faith and hope in the doctors, and it is really expressed in this piece.

I can definitely relate.

Wonderful writing.

I'll definitely be reading more!

Always,
