Bringing Us Back Home

Bringing Us Back Home

A Poem by MissRed
"

Watching sunsets used to be one of my favorite things as a child. Aside from finding things within each cloud, I would just revel in the peace and comfort that a really beautiful sunset can bring. I miss those days... Ignorance is bliss.

"

in this moment, in this second

the world, i think, must be at peace

for how can people be hurting

with so much beauty shining all around

the breeze is soft and sweet

and, i think, one can't suffer through this

for a coolness that is comfort comes

with setting sun in the west

neon and electric clouds fill the evening sky

tonight, i think, we can all celebrate

for there is such passion in the reds and purples

if you only take the time to see it

breasts of clouds dip down from above me

no accident, i think, they are heaven-sent

for these angels kiss the top of the sun

a goodnight that brings us all back home
