Unwind

Unwind

A Poem by MissRed

do you watch me when i sleep

do i seem calm and tender

do you want to touch me

first on my face

then my thigh

do you think i would wake up

when the day is done

i just want to leave into night

and you feel me up

with your very presence

i unwind in front of you

i'm naked and dead before you

i dream in color cartoons

your breath the sound of a car on railroad tracks

you are awake to my asleep and back

seeking me out even when i'm drawn in tight

i hide from you on purpose sometimes

you disrespect me into morning

i wake to find you propped on your elbow

i wish you needles and pins in your arm

but you don't flinch and i have failed again

i crawl over to you but

even in clothes i want to dress again

cover up my secrets as much as possible.
