They tell us things constantly change and they do, sort of, but somehow it seems it is always the same thing, just a different cast of characters. I know I am late to this but I have been gone for a while. Nicely crafted thoughts. I like how this steps down as it goes.

Please, let me add to the review. I loved the title which drew me in. And poem full of emotive couplets with your astounding message. It hit me. The what the world has become extremely polarized in the world. Whether you are a liberal or conservative. Or Democracy or Autocracy. We can’t do anything because we are handicapped as Pawns. Lovely poetic emotion.

I hear you, I've noticed more frigidity on this site as well. It warms me to see some positive feedback, thank you for taking some time out of your day to extend kindness. :) I'm glad this poem could invite you in. During a time of such polarization, I wanted to draw attention to the lack of humanity everyone is experiencing from an unbiased point of view, though I lean left I am a humanitarian and my goal above all else is to reach the core of the human heart, and draw out awareness of the lack of love and safety we all need to find peace. I'm very grateful for your feedback and I'm happy if I can offer up some food for thought from some pasttime poetry :) Be well, safe and have a great day :)
