One Step

One Step

A Poem by Michael Reggiani
"

Love and Missed Opportunities

"
Scared to the point of paralyzation frozen as ice, stuck like glue
one step but I can't seem to move.
It's just one step one meezly step but I can't seem to make it.
And i just gotta f*****g take it.
One step to late and my chance is gone
 she's movin on,
to the next and im s**t out of luck.
But step to early and your obsessive as f**k.
so I'm passive I'm waiting I'm scared and useless
she thinks I'm using her for the sex and she's feeling useless.
Stress. Is What's overcoming me now,
just tell her you love her
but You don't know how.
So you drown in the struggle to show her you care,
your there now and forever, but forever never lasts that long,
as fast as your favorite song she's gone she's movin on.
You f*****g blew it, damn it dude you f*****g blew it.
Why couldn't you just f*****g do it, just say I love you .
Three simple words.
baby you know I love you,
f**k you, just leave me alone, I
love you too but you gotta stop callin this phone,
But i hear it in your tone of voice,
I know she's hurtin, she's movin way to fast, trying to forgot that painful past,
actin like its her last, chance at love
and now she's walkin on thin ice,
doesn't realize the price she's about to pay she wants to give it away,
darling what are you doing,
you stepped to early, your giving it up,
and he got what he wanted so now he's giving you up,
and now you feel like just giving up ,
drink away the pain with that solo cup,
to the point where your throwing up,
and now your thinking what have I done,
said common baby I promise It will be fun,
now your living like there's no sun,
why does life seem so dark, pitch black, that light in the tunnel is fading quick,
your gettin queezy your feeling sick,
when that light goes out the love goes with it,
so your lookin back trying to remember just who lit it, in the first place
it was him all along, how could have things gone so wrong?
