Are There Others?

Are There Others?

A Poem by mlcamp

Wrote this because I needed to. I'm a beginner so please be nice :)

"
I hope, I pray, I weep
No one else can say
That you make them unable to sleep
I hope that I was the only one
Insecure over her looks
Shy as hell
Ridden with naivety and
Depressingly in love with you
Don't worry though,
You did nothing wrong
I overreacted entirely
It was my mind making me uncomfortable
My mind that leaned in too close
That ignored my words as meaningless noise

It was my mind that groped me

That violated me

Don't worry though,
It wasn't rape, or assault
It wasn't something awful or illegal

It was just a joke
A cute little prank

That my mind made up completely

Please comment what you think! This is one of the first poems I've written and it's more like a train of thought written in lines, but I still felt the need to share. Thanks!

Some people have a tendency of exempting undisputable facts, and this is why others end up on the short end of the stick. Look at it this way, the more undisputable facts that are admitted and out in the open, the better the chances of resolving and preventing this kind of thing from happening. Why end up getting the short end of the stick in terms of predatory economics? Something happens, and along come the idiots (predatory economics) to make things worse. The more people reach out to delusion, the worse they feel. All of the undisputable facts don't hurt a bit.

Your work is clear, and I did pick up on the satire. Some people can be total morons, so I do get what you're saying.

I think what we have here is the description of a sexual assault. The speaker is either self blaming or reporting the attack in a backhanded way. I think it was the latter, done in a skillfully tongue in cheek manner.
