Shades of Adulting~Bhuyanshi Talukdar

A Poem by Bhuyanshi Talukdar

Time unfolds,
unseen straw of whispers;
gently caressing the
rough bark and cool air.
Skeletal branches,
the faint rustle of dried leaves
on the ground below.
the earthly scent of damp soil
recalls the bittersweet taste
of tainted scars.

Dappled light trying to be
the visitor at the door
who seeps in between
the broken houses.
the shadows of the adulthood are felt.
Touch of growth and change
boughs in quietly.
Answering life's calls,
the dark soul murmurs.
Shadows crunches underfoot,
-----------------------------------------
a reminder of seasons past
and lessons learned.
