3syllables ~ Bhuyanshi Talukdar

A Poem by Bhuyanshi Talukdar

Like a songbird's wing
"Ain't my thing," whispers the spring.
"I love you," just a refrain of heart's terrain.
And I can't sustain...
A fleeting guess covered with gray dusk,
a melody is misplaced within in the
depths of this empty space.
Yet I say it's "Ain't my thing," has no errands.
"I love you," just a gentle lie in my veins there's no run could be chased...

You bring spring alive in this lovely poem; an interesting conversation between the songbird and Spring…. It is an empty terrain waiting for growth; and perhaps conveying to the bird that love is in the air despite the emptiness surrounding us…. “There’s no blood in my veins….” No nourishment, perhaps no hope…
Warmly, B,
