Edge of time

Edge of time

A Poem by Kimberly "Melody" Carney

trailintrees_use

Follow your dreams to the edge of time

Never looking back

Yet remember

Where you have been

Who you once were

Follow the path of lessons

Drink from the river of tears

Ever flowing

Tears of change

Taste the bitterness it gives

The bitterness of pride

Found in the tears

Remember who you are

Walk straight the path

Worn deep in the ground

From the dragging of feet

Of hesitation still fresh

And stones of fear

The path becomes smaller

As understanding trends light

The faster you move

Less is left behind

Understand who you are

Who you were is no more

Creating your own way now

Never looking back

Remember where you’ve been

Who you once were

Who you have become

Follow your dreams to the edge of time

Love this piece! Some lines worth pondering upon even after one has finished reading! I read this twice, this one pulls me deeper and deeper each time!

Good work. Bravo :)

I like the constant pushing forward of this poem, but I would've liked to see more of the growth behind it. Who's the person they once were and who have they become? What does the journey look like? What's the dream?

"Remember where you’ve been
Who you once were
Who you have become"
Great wisdom in the poem. Must go forward and learn from mistakes. No weakness in the outstanding poem.
