If I Had My Druthers (exactly what IS a druther?)...

The way I WISH things were!

                                                      

If I had my druthers (I'll say it even if I don't have a clue!),

the new president would get single-payer universal healthcare passed,

would make sure any tax money raised would go to benefit those who need it, make the wealthy pay their fair share,

and quit overburdening those who can least afford it.

 

That's in a perfect world, and ours sure ain't.

I'm not naive (about so many other things, but not this!)

enough to think 'it's my way, or forget it!'

Our system is based on give and take, not just take.
