The Idiot!

Commenting before coffee!

                                                                  

No matter how many times I tell myself

not to attempt a comment until I'm more awake,

I attempt one anyway, and people must think, "Huh?

Yes, 'The Idiot!" tries to speak, and sense he doesn't make!"

 

Just a string of nonsense do I babble, before the coffee infusion

sends coherence speeding to the oval orb attached to my neck.

 Misfiring electronic impulses fail to send reality to my brain,

so, my babbled thoughts resemble a literary train wreck.

 

And the people on the receiving end of my attempt

to sound like I have a clue about the things I say,

are left scratching their head, and wondering who's writing

I meant, because theirs had nothing to do with topic A,

of the points I was trying so ineptly to make,

they wonder, "Did he even read it, for goodness's sake?"

I laughed to myself when reading this. I have done the same thing usually when I have been drinking and im tipsee and typing to people its bad haha. I see where your coming from in this piece can definitely relate. Funny but honest piece.
I really enjoyed the read. Great title by the way. Oh you make sense in this poem :P
