Apart At The SeemsA Poem by Michael StevensSpelling intentionalWake up, check the T.V. for what else has happened, feel on edge and scared of both the real and imagined. The latest disaster is the only new news, see terrorism experts sifting through rubble to try to find the clues. Things are scary enough without the constant drumbeat of death and destruction played by the media--we're all dead meat. Mankind's coming Apart at the Seems--disaster on a loop, over and over, and every network acts like they've got a scoop, when what they show is the same as every channel-- a never-ending drama--out-shocking and hammer the sensational. After watching for awhile, look for a short rope and a tall ladder, so you can take the last swan dive, cause you're feeling sadder than you've ever felt--you feel like there's no way out, so full of despair, hopelessness, and black doubt. © 2016 Michael StevensReviews
