Woke up to a nightmare

Turn around, another spin of the clock, another day,

another year, another decade, another century, 

another millennium, gone away

I went to sleep and it was the nineteens, woke up in 

the 2000's; seems

unfair how fast time blows on by, makes you cry, was 

pleasant dreams,

turned to nightmares, can someone tell me when did 

everything turn to s**t?

Don't recognize any of this, not even a little, not a bit

'Cause try as I may, couldn't have foreseen this, never 

in a million years

When did our society regress and turn from hopes to 

fears?

Now we're scared of our shadow, scared of every that 

moves

And with fools in the White House, nothing's bound to 

improve
